📏 Layout & grid

Our documents, presentations, and websites should have a certain impact. They should appear professional, orderly, and of one unit. We succeed in doing this by orienting ourselves to a grid and a few basic rules when designing. These help us all create appealing and structured content.

Square

The square is already in our logo and symbolizes symmetry and stability. You find the basic square shape again and again in the grid.

2x Grid

We are strongly oriented towards IBM’s 2x Grid. When subdividing a layout, always select 2x steps resp. halve areas. Only use these ratios.

8px / Mini unit

Whenever possible, an 8px basic grid forms the smallest basis (mini-unit). We stick to the 2x grid and use the same base as for the font sizes.
